Brightening days and reducing loneliness

What we provide

A vital human connection for isolated seniors age 60+ in the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond

Weekly phone conversation with a compassionate volunteer matched 1:1 to your senior

Volunteers trained in friendly conversation, supportive listening, and confidentiality

Cantonese, Hindi, or Mandarin-speaking volunteers upon request

The safety and privacy of each senior is our priority

Trained and trustworthy

isolated older adult talking on the phone to her phone buddy

How it works

We match each senior 1:1 with their own trained volunteer phone buddy for ongoing personal connection over many months of weekly conversations.

Our role is neutral, warm, and friendly. We don't diagnose physical or psychological issues. And we don't take a stand on political or religious topics.

We screen, train, and supervise all volunteers. We document all calls.

All conversations confidential. HIPAA compliant.

Downloadable flyers about our program: English flyer, Chinese flyer for seniors, Hindi flyer.
